Volunteer
Throughout year Team Parents:
Serve as an information source for players and parents for both
in-season and out-of-season questions. Coordinate driving to out-of-town
games. Verify players birth dates and identifications. Assign and
coordinate personnel for all game day activities, opening and closing
baseball field. Team responsible for one fish fry
Administrative: Oversees all
activities and follows timeline to assure compliance with annual needs
and activities Event
planning: Assist in
both end-of-year banquet/picnic and initial mid-May mandatory monster
meeting for players and parents to collect player fees, check
identification/birth certificates and review season expectations and
policies. Fish fry:
Coordinates four spring dates
with Legion Club (prefer two during lent). Establishes team responsible
for service during each event
Works with team parent Game day
activities 50-50 raffle-sell
cash raffle tickets to spectators, split the take and announce the
winner Admissions-collect
admission fees at main gate Concession stand-assist in concession stand and prepare hot dogs and
brats as needed Driver-
transport players to away games Field maintenance-assist in pre-game liming base lines and post-game
activities on diamond Foul ball
recovery-assist in returning foul balls to dugout
Public
address announcing-provide pre-game lineups and hitters during
course of game
Scorekeeper-keep
score to assist PA announcer Scoreboard operator - record balls, strikes, outs and runs on scoreboard |
